 PHYSICS TUITION

Physics Tuition Specialist in Bukit Timah area

Welcome to physicstuitionspecialist.com

My name is Monica Loh Lee Choon. I am an ex-lecturer from Hwa Chong Institution (college section). I hold a Masters Degree in Physics (with Distinction) from the United Kingdom. I offer individual and “self organised group” physics tuition lessons.

Students can choose the delivery of their lessons in the form of online, face-to-face or a combination of both.

The courses include:

PHYSICS

1. Secondary 1 and 2 Physics Intensive courses,

2. “O” and “A” Level Physics Intensive Courses,

3. “O” Level Physics,

4. IP Physics,

5. IGCSE Physics,

6. “A” Level Physics,

7. IB Physics.

The class size is deliberately kept small so that my students have ample opportunities to ask questions in a nurturing environment. Lessons are held at Hillcrest Road (near HCI, NJC, RGPS). It is a 10 minute walk from Tan Kah Kee MRT station. I have helped many physics students achieved excellent results in their Secondary 1 and 2,  “O” level, IP, IGCSE, “A” level and IB Physics examinations. Some students have informed me that their teachers had commended them as they were the most improved students in the level, in their school major Physics examinations.  I look forward to helping you achieve the same success.

I offer the following physics tuition lessons:

Secondary 1 and secondary 2 Physics

SELF ORGANISED GROUPS

Intensive and comprehensive Secondary 1 and 2 Physics Tuition Packages comprising of 12 one and a half hour sessions. These packages include practical and theory.

INDIVIDUAL LESSONS

Individual lessons are also available

IP , “O” Level Physics and IGCSE

This course is offered either on a

  • one-to-one basis or

  • to self -organised groups.

Students are required to attend one and a half hour sessions weekly.

IB Physics

This course is offered either on a

  • one-to-one basis or

  • to self -organised groups.

Students are required to attend  one and a half hour sessions weekly.

H2 Physics

This course is offered either on a

  • one-to-one basis or

  • to self -organised groups.

Students are required to attend  one and a half hour sessions weekly.

INTENSIVE REVISION FOR ‘O’ AND ‘A’ LEVEL EXAMINATIONS

This intensive revision courses will be held during the June and September school holidays. This ‘O’/’A’ level intensive course comprise of four  4-hour sessions. It is suitable for students who want to score an A grade  but are intimidated by the amount of materials they have to plow through due to  lack of time.

Gina (JC1 – HCI)

Hi Mrs Yap! Just wanted to thank you for your patient guidance and teaching through this year. I haven’t told you this before but I learnt a lot more than Physics from you, especially your cheerful and positive attitude. It really makes me look forward to tuition every week. I will always remember your passion for Physics and everything you have done for me. Thank you Mrs Yap for the wonderful past year!

Fabiola, Nicole and Gillian (‘O’ level –  SCGS)

Dear Mrs Yap. Thank you for being a kind and supportive physics teacher. You always make Saturday lessons very fun. You always make Physics more fun and enjoyable and easier to understand. Thank you for being the Albert Einstein in our lives

Jillian (‘O’ level- SCGS)

Hello Mrs Yap. I got A2 for my Physics!! Thank you so so so much for your help. It wouldn’t have been possible without your help.

Wen Shen (IB Year 6 – SJI )

Dear Mrs Yap. Thank you for being my ever patient and knowledgeable tuition teacher for last year as well as part of this year. I thank you for painstakingly imparting knowledge to me. I am sure that without your help, I would probably be doomed for my exams. I hope that you continue to teach with passion, and I wish your family good health. Once again, thank you for being such a wonderful teacher.

Jane ( JC2 – RI )

Dear Mrs Yap. Thank you for all your help and guidance these last two years.  You have really saved me from so much struggling haha! Thank you for being so patient and nurturing throughout it all! Honestly, don’t know what I’d do without you; so thank you so much again for really everything! MRS YAP! YOU ARE THE BEST !!!

Valerie (JC2 – RI)

Hello!!  Really miss the Wednesday afternoons having lessons with you and the yummy drinks and snacks and the homemade coffee. Just wanted to say a huge  “thank you”  for  all your help and guidance in JC. I really couldn’t   have achieved   the results without you!! Thank you for  always being so sweet and understanding and asking if we are tired and for being so patient even when I ask dumb questions or when you have to explain a concept many times.  You really helped me understand all the formulas and concepts better, and made my love for Physics grow. I really look forward to your lessons and all the super cool physics equipment like the diffraction grating and the transformer. I love how you manage to transform (haha) all the facts into real life examples and demonstrate to us like the plasticine in water. It really makes lessons so much more enjoyable and interesting!! Even though the 100+ MCQs were so much, they really helped me consolidate my learning. I really appreciate all the effort you put into making lessons amazing and I hope your life continues to be filled with many colours (like your markers) and joy and love. Thank you very much for everything.

Nicole (‘O’ levels – Chung Cheng High School)

Hi Mrs Yap!! Thank you so much for being one of the nicest and most approachable teachers I have ever had. You are always so happy and your smile is contagious!! Attending your class make me (and many other students) really glad not just because of the coffee and biscuits that you provide, but also because of how interesting your classes are! Your materials are truly the best and your explanations are really clear too. Without your help, I probably wouldn’t be passing Physics now.  Thank you so much for all the time you have put into me!! Though I might not be your best student, you have made me like physics way more than I did before. I am so proud to be able to call myself your student. Thank you for the 2 years. Though it had been short, it has been really fun as well (especially with your in-class experiments). Thanks a lot for everything.

Deborah (IB – Year 6 – ACS (I)

Hi Mrs Yap,

I got “7” for my Physics IB Examinations. Thank you for all your help!

Farhana (JC2 – RI)

Hello!! Thank you so much Mrs Yap for being one of the most genuine, kindest and cutest teacher I have had. You really helped me greatly when I used to think I can’t improve anymore. I am really so grateful for all the times you drew diagrams, rewrote explanations and carried out experiments just so that I can understand better and always giving me coffee and biscuits and also showing interest to find out how I am doing in my other subjects and in netball. You used to tell me how you believed in me and that really motivated me!! You are really a very good tutor and I am very glad that I am your student. I hope we can meet up once in a while. Thank you so much Mrs Yap. I appreciate all your effort and the coffee haha!  Hope that you don’t forget us!!  I find all your Physics books, whiteboard in front of the table and lab instruments very cool!!
